Agnes Whelan (circa 1927)

Agnes Whelan was born in Hospital Co. Limerick on Feb. 27th, 1911.  She was the fourth child of Jack and Mae Whelan.  She had five sisters – Elsie, Moira, Kathleen, Alice and Carmel, and two brothers – Jack and Paddy.  Agnes emigrated to America in April 1927 with her family where they lived at 32 Albany St. in Albany, NY.

Agnes married Joe Malone June 20th, 1938.  They had three children – Jean, Dick and Larry.  Agnes and Joe died within weeks of each other during July 2001.
